Translation Notes:
Where the lyrics say "right now", it actually says, "you of back then". The reason I've translated it as "right now" is because the line is actually in the present tense and it was kind of awkward to have the line read "you of back then doesn't believe in the galaxy". Taehyung is speaking directly to himself from the past, and I think that comes through better in English like this.
아릿해와 (ah-li-tae-wah) might be my new favourite Korean word, and not just because I spent four hours trying to figure out what the hell this word meant in context of the song. The naver dictionary told me it means "to taste hot, to be pungent, to sting one's mouth" but I was convinced it didn't make sense, so I did a bit of digging and used all the Korean comprehension I currently possess to learn that this word, when not referring to taste, refers to a memory or knowledge that is distant and shapeless. In this case, it's been compounded with the verb 오다 (oh-da) "to come". It's like "for a memory to shapelessly and vaguely (come back to the) surface". I decided on "it's coming back to mind" because it fits the beat of the chorus and I think it sort of captures the feeling they were going for here. Not gonna lie, out of the whole album, this line is what I'm most proud of deciphering.
The words "to say" are not actually in the chorus, I've added them to make the entire chorus rhyme in English and also because I think it's pretty safe to say that the "we gon' change" is what he's telling his younger self.
This isn't really a translation note, but you can literally hear Taehyung smiling as he sings about watching his younger self be happy.
